GRINCH & GLOW:
Mark your calendars for the most exciting holiday event of the season! On Saturday, December 14th, from 10 AM to 5 PM, the Science Museum of Western Virginia invites you and your family to a day filled with Grinch-inspired science, fun, and holiday magic!
Your ticket includes:
A special screening of How the Grinch Stole Christmas in our immersive Planetarium!
Entry to our Parakeet Garden – a winter wonderland of feathered friends.
Access to all Grinchy STEAM activities for hands-on learning and holiday fun!
What’s Happening at the Spectacular:
Grinch Slime Lab – Whip up gooey, glittery Grinch slime to take home!
Who-Ville Engineering Challenge – Build your very own whimsical Who-Ville village!
Heartwarming Science – See your “heart grow three sizes” with a fun chemical reaction experiment.
Holiday Circuit Trees – Design a light-up “Grinchmas” tree using real circuits!
Storytime & Whoville Crafts – Hear the classic tale and craft Grinchy ornaments or masks.
Plus, holiday decor, festive music, and surprises around every corner!

ALL ABOARD THE POLAR EXPRESS!
Get ready for a magical holiday adventure aboard the Polar Express at the Science Museum! On Friday, December 20th, experience the wonder of the Polar Express brought to life with festive activities, holiday cheer, and a special screening of the beloved movie!
Your ticket includes:
A 3 PM showing of The Polar Express in the Eye Planetarium!
Meet-and-greet with Santa Claus himself!
Hot Chocolate Station to warm your heart and hands.
Live Performances by costume dancers from Ardell Stone School of Dance.
