You don’t have to be a “Science Geek” to volunteer at the Science Museum of Western Virginia!
Science Museum volunteers play a vital role by enhancing the experience of our museum visitors. Countless volunteer hours have been donated since we opened our doors in 1971, and we are grateful for every minute of this support.
Are you a lifelong learner who enjoys engaging others in a fun learning environment? Do you enjoy connecting with students and seeing that bright “eureka” smile? Would you like to meet others who share your interests?
We are currently recruiting for the following volunteer opportunities:
- Butterfly Garden Exhibit Attendant
- Touch Tank & Living River Exhibit Attendant
- Open Lab Exhibit Attendant
- One-Time Special Events and Activities
Share your time and talents and become a part of our museum family. We provide free training, flexible scheduling, and benefits for regular museum volunteers.
Interested? Start by completing our short online Volunteer Application.
