What makes science more enjoyable? Beer!
Each month, events alternate between ‘STEM Trivia’, a science, technology, engineering and math based trivia night, and ‘Craft Bar’, a chance to unleash your inner child and take part in a fun science-based activity.
For every beer sold during the event, Big Lick Brewing Co. are generously donating $1 to the Science Museum. This does not, however, mean that you have to purchase or consume alcohol to participant – all are welcome!

Wednesday April 10th | Big Lick Brewing Co. | 6:00pm-8:00pm
This month we have been inspired by a popular Netflix show of a similar name, but not identical for copyright reasons, to create a competition of epic proportions! We’re looking to see who can scale it and who will fail it in Roanoke’s first ‘Scaled It!’ competition!
We want you to channel your inner architect and recreate some well-known structures using unusual materials, teamwork … and maaaybe bit of will power to help it stay standing. Compete in teams of 1-4 people to see who can most accurately ‘scale it’ in the allotted time!
We only reward winners in this competition, so all teams are competing for a $50 CASH PRIZE! It is a $5 entry fee per team to cover cost of materials.
All great architects make sure they are well nourished.
Big Lick have forged a unique relationship with Tucos Taqueria and Beamer’s 25 so you can order and pay for food at your brewery table and have it delivered to you without you moving from your pint!
Tucos Taqueria offers modern Latin American cuisine, including tacos, nachos, quesadillas with select ingredients that are grown on-site for an even more authentic taste.
Named after retired VT Football Coach Frank Beamer, Beamer’s 25 prides themselves with serving good, hearty American food such as burgers, pizzas and sandwiches.
