Check out our new FREE Saturday workshop series, Space Saturdays, on the second Saturday of every month at 11 am from September through December. Outer Space is fun, but it’s so big – how can we possibly learn about it all? We’re presenting a fun, family-oriented hands-on workshop exploring different solar system topics. These 45-minute programs are sponsored by Grainger and are designed for children and their adults to explore together. Space is limited and pre-registration is required, so please email email@example.com to reserve your spot. We hope to see you out in space with us!
September: The Jupiter System
October: The Mysteries of Pluto
November: Move Like a Planet
December: A Tour of the Solar System
Perfect for your pre-schooler, STORYBOOK SCIENCE features a story time and take-home craft. Storybook Science is held on the first Saturday of each month at 10:30 a.m. This program is free for Science Museum members, and included in the regular museum admission for non-members.
The stories we choose provide a fun, engaging way to experience a variety of STEM topics (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics). The crafts provide a chance to explore the topic more directly as well as promoting motor skill practice. We try to include supplemental material to investigate such as tools used by scientists in that field or objects to examine with magnifying glasses or microscopes.
Join the fun on the first Saturday of each month!
