The Science Museum of Western Virginia and Virginia Tech are pleased to announce a FREE summer program for 7th and 8th graders. Space is limited, so enroll soon! (See enrollment instructions below.)

How do robots like NASA’s Curiosity work? Come find out!

Mars_Science_Laboratory_Curiosity_roverAt the Robot Scientist event, you’ll have the chance to:

  •  Teach a computer to find the cause of a weird event
  •  Turn scientific thinking into computer programs
  •  Make a computer measure and manipulate the world
  •  Learn what an algorithm is and build your own
  •  Take home your very own Raspberry Pi computer!



How to enroll: Parents or guardians, please send your student’s name, age, grade, and school to bjantzen@vt.edu using the subject line, “Robot Scientist”.
